►NO CHARGE FOR LOVE
NO CHARGE FOR LOVE A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell.He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups. And set about nailing it to a post on theedge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post,he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into theeyes of a little boy. "Mister," he said,"I want to buy one of your puppies." "Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed thesweat of the back of ! his neck,"These puppies come from fine parents andcost a good deal of money." The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and heldit up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-ninecents. Is that enough to take a look?" "Sure," said the farmer, and with that he let out a whistle. Here, Dolly!" he called.Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced withdelight. As the dogs made their way to thefence, the little boy noticed something elsestirring inside the doghouse. Slowly anotherlittle ball appeared, this one noticeablysmaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in asomewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing itsbest to catch up.... "I want that one,"the little boy said, pointing to the runt. The farmer knelt down at the boy's side andsaid, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would. " With thatthe little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one legf his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a speciallymade shoe. Looking back up at the farmer,he said, "You see sir, I don't run too wellmyself, and he will need someone who understands. " With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefullyhe handed it to the little boy. "How much?" asked the little boy. "No charge," answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love."

►satisfied.
i realised i haven been blogging for soooooo long. I'm purely lazy.hahah but i'm happy with my life now. minus-ing away the assignments that I have to rush, life is good.

December was a marvellous month and I really played super hard!!! I miss China like mad. Penang before school reopen was great (i dun like the being bullied part but the 'what happens in penang stays in penang' makes it all up). I shopped every other day in December and I think i'm turning into a shopaholic. I miss JB seafood dinner. I love the 'I can play today because I got no work tommorrow' feeling. I spent the most number of days with dear in December and I miss having him around now. TOO many events in December and I can't seem to recall anymore. But overall, December was an excellent month (minus-ing away the big hole I have in my pocket).

After playing so hard, I can concentrate on working hard now. Back to NIE, but i'm enjoying it. I'm super satisfied with my timetable.i love it! but too bad, its only for 6 weeks cuz after that, i'm off into school to be Miss. Zhou! Now, i'm looking forward to my next holiday which I can play DAMN HARD and recharge!WEe~

I love my new phone! =p

►TOP 10 favourite events of my holiday!
1. Hongkong DISNEYLAND

the disney train that fetches you to the disneyland station! the train is really cool. a MUST TAKE!!
"here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy..."
the cute little girl who willingly smiled into my camera when i wanted to take a photo of her! so cute!
stitch on the burger~
we were at disneyland from 1pm to 8pm and we couldnt finish playing all the things there..! its tooooo big and crowded. nevertheless, it was super fun. the day ended perfectly well with the fireworks. WOW. Now i wanna go to the disneyland in U.S!!

/11:49 PM

2. Shopping!
shopping is an art in china. the key thing is 'dun behave like a Singaporean'(like how dear always warn me)...things may seem cheap alr...but! it can always be cheaper. all you need to do is 'show lesser interest in buying the item despite HOW BADLY you want it. hahaha the key is: BARGAIN. BARGAIN and BARGAIN!!!!! i bought quite a bit of things alr..but you know, shopping is never enough. hahha i wanna go back to shop AGAIN.

by the way, look at the way the shoes are stacked. hahaha anyway, its 19RMB-less than $4. CHEAP. the better ones are arranged properly like in singapore. and they cost about 39RMB-$8. CHEAP CHEAP!!

3. SUPPER delivered to doorstep!

barbequed brinjal-4RMB (~$0.80)
chicken wing-1RMB each (~$0.20)
jiu cai-1RMB per stick ($0.20)
jin zhen gu mushroom-1RMB per stick ($0.20)

SO CHEAP!!! there is one whole fish that cost 4RMB also. nice. my favourite is the jin zhen gu. after i ate it on the first night, i kept wanting to eat it every night of my stay there. cheap and gooooood.

anyway, it feels super shiok to have food just a phone call away! porridge, dou jiang you tiao, barbequed food, 'ma la' soup, fastfood...whatever you want, u name it, they have it. all you need is food brochures with the telephone numbers!!!!! but, beware. the price to pay is gaining weight.

4. FOOD
China has a great variety of food. they eat almost everything. Its really an eye opener to see how a duck can be divided to be sold seperately. the wings, the neck, the tongue etc etc. but its too scary, i dun dare to eat.

i preferred the nice food that i had:

- Steamboat (the normal kind we eat in singapore with the soup base)

- a special kind of steamboat

- crabs

- dimsum

we ate a lot a lot that day...
shui jiao. haha dunno why its fried one also. but ok la, the taste is not too bad.this is yummy.the prawns are very very fresh. this is yummier...~ durian puff. looks like pineapple tarts, but its durian inside. interesting and nice.this is the yummiest! carrot cake. a MUST eat.
- fastfood (that sells chinese food)YUMMY YUMMYgot the home-cooked taste. yummy.

-roadside stalls

chinese pizza.

barbequed sotong!

-Hongkong Breakfast!

my fav (spicy pork cubes)

SUPER YUMMY egg tarts!!!

and the list goes on!!!!......

5. the presence of friends when overseas...

the trip would definitely have been less fun without them!

steamboats, dimsum, ktv, sumptuous dinners, ghost stories, lunch delivery orders, gaming etc etc. some things are just more fun when its a bigger crowd!...

and many many many more of them...

6. the spa
Now i understand why my friends fall in love with spa after they come back from china. cuz i love it too now!...that place is the only place that you will feel very comfortable with the temperature. even being indoors or at home don't provide that kind of warmth. the weather is simply too cold and the wind will make your house sooooo cold too. even when i wear my jacket at home, I feel SUPER COLD.

i seriously miss the spa there. Singapore's too expensive.

7. the cold weather...
i love my new jackets. they have served me well. =p

anyway, cuz of the weather, most of the women there will be wearing boots...and i think its damn nice!!! i was so tempted to buy one pair also. but i think i wont wear it anymore when i'm back to sg, so i saved that amount of money.

8. the dogs...

the dogs in china are really pretty! most of the dogs that i've seen there have white fur. the fluffy white fur..PRETTY!! must be because of the weather...just like how the dogs in cold countries like autrailia etc. have nicer fur...

anyway, the dogs in china are interesting too! just like this one, whose tail is dyed with many colours!(too far away to get a nice shot)

there are many more...look out for them if you are walking on the streets of shenzhen!

and speaking of dogs...one of theose days when i was in shenzhen, my mum called me and told me that my dog misses me. it was like the 5th/6th day that i was away from home...She told me that happy sleeps outside my door every night, waiting for me to come home..at that moment, i realised i missed him a lot too. =(

9. the lottery
one day, we were in the supermarket and we saw this lottery booth. we decided to give it a try since its only 2RMB. we shaded some numbers like we do in TOTO
on another day when we passed by another lottery booth, we tried looking at the results to see if we won anything. But, we do not know how the system goes. So..we just went to the counter and asked if we won anything. ...and guess what...
.
.
.
we won 5RMB! hahha

/11:46 PM

10. Venetian casino!
its my second time there...the first time i went, i wasnt stopped by any of the security guards. (I looked old enough). but this time round, i was stopped three times. if you are not aware, the minimum age to go into the casino is 18.

i looked too young. the security thought i was 14. wahah.
i miss playing jackpot!!! so fun. cheap and entertaining.

►looking forward
body worlds exhibition is SO cool...i really like it! especially the giraffe. can u believe it? the heart alone is alr 10kg. can u imagine the weight of the WHOLE giraffe? wah....

i'm finally flying off tmr. feeling a bit unprepared. dunno if my clothes will be able to bear me through the cold weather and my whole trip. well. i decided not to buy a thick jacket in sg, hoping i could get a cheap one in china. and hopefully i can get one, if not i think i'll suffer from the cold weather. brrr..............

and i so wanna visit the zoo there!!
