After going through NIE for 3 weeks, I've seen education in a way that I never did. It suddenly striked me how important and significant teachers are in almost every child's life. DO u know how important is the role of a teacher?
I think teaching is noble. It involves inspiring children and stuffs. But sometimes, the curriculum is so tight that learning becomes a mundane process which children find no joy in.This is sad because education is not JUST about teaching a child how to score in a PSLE. It is a lot of character development and whatsoever. Its just sad to see how teachers lose their passion and motivation to inspire children when they lose their energy over the years...I dun see my pri teachers doing WHAT I'm taught to do as a teacher in primary school...I really hope I wont become one of 'these teachers' in future...If I do, teaching will become meaningless.
and the reason of this entry is because....I hope that IF i were to lose passion in teaching, looking back on this entry may probably help me to find back the passion to INSPIRE children and make a difference to their lives...=)
